Junk iT was started in 2011 by a Chillicothe Police Officer when he was working on a home improvement project and needed some stuff hauled away. The idea of hauling junk and large items from people a service that wasn’t provided in the area turned into a business. Starting with one pickup truck and a cage trailer, Junk iT was born. In 2013 the business was sold to three Chillicothe Firefighters. Along the way we realized not only do people need stuff hauled for them, but occasionally they need time to sort through their stuff to see what they want to get rid of and what to keep. To address this side of the business we added the dumpster service. So today the business is still owned and operated by a Chillicothe Firefighter operating on days off from the department.
